Devoting some time for praying
Praying isn’t hard, nor is it complicated. It is simply having a conversation with God, praising and worshiping him. Praying is the time that we devote to our Heavenly Father in a silent corner, conversing and outpouring our hearts, with thanksgiving and praise, praying willingly, lovingly and with great anticipation.
Praying is not a job nor an obligation, but it is how you show your love and appreciation to your Father. Praying will bring you peace and joy, it will help you free yourself and hence make the wicked flee from you. Yes, there is great joy in prayer. Such a joy in conversing with The Lord, an inexplicable joy! Knowing well that our prayers, all our prayers are heard by the Lord.
The Lord is near to all who call on him, To all who call on him in truth. Psalms 145:18
You may think that you are not good enough to pray to God, but this is not true. This is one of the many lies of the devil. Even if you have been wrong all your life, you can still pray to your Father, show him that you want to turn your life around and start living for Him. If you are truly genuine and you change your ways of living, and if you believe in Him with all your heart, God WILL forgive you.
Praying is not ”dull” as some might think. It is the simple act of thanking your Father for everything He has given you and showing Him your love and appreciation! If you feel that you should not pray for any reason, or you do not feel worthy of praying, then that reason is made from the devil. For only he does not want you to pray to the Lord. He wants to keep you from getting closer to God and tries to keep you occupied with other things. Things of this world that will distract you, he wants to place you in a lie that will be with you until your death. Do not be fooled by him, be smart instead. For it is never too late, pray to your Father and you shall receive his help and guidance!
Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks In all circumstances; for this is God’s will For you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Praying is not supposed to be reading bits of texts and knowing it by heart. You do not have to be a genius nor a preacher to talk to your Heavenly Father. Praying is for EVERYONE. God knows everyone’s capabilities, and when the time comes, He will judge each person accordingly. God will not give the same judgement to someone who is fully capable of praying and following His word versus someone who is mentally incapable of doing so. For example, someone who is in a mental hospital with the brain of 3-year-old and can only say 1 word, will not be judged the same way as an intelligent businessman.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, By prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, Present your requests to God. And the peace of God, Which transcends all understanding, Will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
Your father knows you better than you know yourself, and He will not give you more than you can handle. Trust in Him and pray! If you refuse to, it is like not being thankful for everything you have (or even for the gift of being able to praise your Heavenly Father).
In my distress I called to the Lord; I cried to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came before him, into his ears. Psalms 18:6
